PURCHASING REQUIREMENTS
First contact
A prospective client will request a contact (via internet, fax, telephone, at a trade fair).
Collation of technical data
A visit from a business associate will usually follow (normally an area agent) to identify the storage/filing problems as well as to look over the premises.
A prospective client will then provide the necessary data about the product (dimensions, weight, no. of handlings per time unit) as well as a scale plan (where necessary) and other information of direct use to ICAM.
Technical solution study
ICAM will undertake a detailed study, and produce and submit a first design/technical solution and associated evaluation. The solution/s will be discussed directly with the prospective client with the possibility of making further technical modifications to the plan in order to arrive at an optimum solution.
Final decision
When all the necessary modifications have been made to the plan, on the basis of technical and financial requirements, a prospective client will evaluate the final design and sign the order, inclusive of all the conditions of supply.
Technical definitions
Before producing the system and/or undertaking any preparatory building work, a technical type survey will take place to check every detail concerning the order in its totality and to monitor the preparations of the premises as closely as possible.
