THE COMPANY

Electric Line specializes in the manufacture and distribution of customized electrical and industrial wiring, geared motors and electric motors for many industrial sectors, including the Ho.Re.Ca, Electromedical, Automation, Car and Railway industries.

THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGES

Over the years, a constant increase in the number of items produced, made managing the wide variety of stock items more and more complex. The stock, which includes connectors, electrical cables, terminals, coils and geared motors, was stored on traditional shelving and managed using paper documents and simple Excel spreadsheets.

THE SOLUTION

To support increasing dimensional growth and respond to evolving demand, Electric Line moved to new, larger premises in 2009 and gradually began to automate and digitize their intralogistics processes with the installation of 2 SILO² Vertical Lift Modules, for the storage of small to medium-sized items, a Compatta Cargo for the storage of heavier and more bulky items and a SILO^L VLM in the cutting department for the storage of mini applicators.
