THE COMPANY

Tecnoblend is a production and distribution company of raw  materials and semi-finished products for the confectionery industry. Founded in 1989, today it is present on the market with 4 Business Units: Nicoletti, specialized in the producion of functional ingredients for food industry; Tecnobled, deals with ingredients for ice cream, pastry shops and bakery; Biogood, specialized in the production of ingredients for the production of organic gelato; Intensho, specialized in the creation of a range of ingredients, specific for the ho.re.ca. market.

THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGES

The constant increase in the number of references to be managed, about 1,400 between raw materials and finished products, necessary to satisfy the requests of customers ever more demanding in terms of  tastes and intolerances, has forced the company to reorganize the warehouse available space in order to recover square meters to be used for the storage of other materials; make the preparation of recipes faster and increase the level of operational safety for operators.

THE SOLUTION

To meet the new challenges, Tecnoblend has decided to install a SILO² VLM equipped with 2 opposite access openings that allow both warehouse and production operators to access to the material stored inside the machine optimizing make-to-order processes and order consolidation.

In order to simplify and speed up the weighing operations of raw materials poured into steel drums, some trays have been equipped with specific supports for the inclination of these containers.
