THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGES

In 2017, LMVH, in view of the company’s growth prospects, starts the construction of a new factory in Longarone (Italy, BL), for the production of glasses for the various Maisons of the Group and decides to digitize and automate the internal workflow of the materials to increase production capacity, while reducing production times and increasing visibility on stock levels, ensuring the high quality standards that have always characterized the Made in Italy eyewear.

THE SOLUTION

The heart of the project of the new production plant in Longarone (BL) are the 8 SILO² Vertical Lift Modules more than 9 meters high with 3 storage columns each: every m² of footprint, they develop a storage capacity of 24 m².

The integration of ICON, the SILO warehouse management software, with SAP, increases the efficiency of the combined cycles, minimizing access times to materials.
