Uniservice: SILO² Vertical Lift Modules for the fast and accurate order consolidation

Uniservice is a distribution company of products for hydraulic systems, founded in 2004, today Exclusive Distributor of Manuli, Casappa, Idron and Atlantic for Central-Southern Italy.

The significant increase in codes to be managed and the growing number of customers and markets to serve led to numerous inefficiencies and greater complexity in warehouse management and order picking operations. The entire inventory was stored on traditional racking with 3 loading levels. The operators were forced to go through corridors, up and down the stairs, several times a day with packs of 4-5 kg ​​in hand.

Furthermore, the racking was no longer suitable for containing additional references. For this reason, the company decided to move to a new larger plant investing in intralogistics automation.

The new plant flagship is represented by the digitization and automation of processes: CNC machines, 4.0 forklifts and SILO² Vertical Lift Modules.

The latter are used to store Manuli small parts and the spare parts needed for the products assembly and they are connected to the company ERP, exchanging information in real-time and tracing any items and inbound/outbound operations, at any time.
