Sustainability for ICAM

Our commitment to a sustainable space for goods, for people and for our planet.

We care about people and the planet: we are committed to reducing the impact caused by the management and distribution of goods, to make space for a more accessible and inclusive world that integrates well-being, productivity and sustainability.

Vision and Mission

Bringing materials and goods closer to people in a sustainable way

Our path towards increasingly sustainable development is inspired every day by our vision.
Acting in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable way translates into the way you act on a daily basis, such as designing and producing smart solutions for more sustainable goods mobility; valuing our people, reducing impacts on the environment; responsibly managing our suppliers; and supporting and sustaining the local communities.

Letter to our Stakeholders

The 2022 Sustainability Report is the first milestone along a path that we have opted to take, in an attempt to “systematize” in a more responsible way the activities that we are carrying out in terms of sustainability, reporting back on the results achieved and comparing those to our future objectives, which while remaining challenging are at the same time still achievable.”

Our business model and strategy

The way we do business: taking care of people, goods and also the planet

The creation of a more sustainable and equitable future is at the heart of every choice we make: which projects to implement to design the mobility or goods and support the individuals and communities we serve; who we choose to work with and how we mobilize capital.
We have integrated environmental, social and governance factors into our business strategy and day-to-day operations via a structured process, which includes an in-depth analysis of the sustainability context and identification of critical issues, both with regard to our strategy and for stakeholders. We have also defined our development objectives, planned future action and made investments in order to achieve these objectives. In addition we have assessed and managed risks and opportunities, and carried out monitoring and reporting by involving the relevant Stakeholders.

The pillars of our Sustainability Plan

Our pillars for sustainable development

People are at the heart of innovation and the driving force of sustainable development. We promote a working model that integrates productivity, well-being and sustainability. We value people beyond their differences, favouring the elimination of the gender gap as an element of equity and meritocracy.

We want to leave our mark, but not our footprint. We safeguard our natural capital and limit our environmental impact. Every day our company is committed to saving resources and reducing our environmental impact, in favour of a circular economy. Our commitment translates into initiatives designed to reduce consumption and resources, to limit and manage waste more effectively, as well as many other measures to responsibly govern and monitor our production process and the impact of our products.

Smart Technologies

We want to redesign the space used for managing, distributing and selling materials and goods by integrating the most advanced technology with the very best in terms of skills and experience. We invest in research, technological innovation and expertise to accelerate the transition towards sustainable and inclusive development and to leave a better world for future generations. We manage our innovative processes through an Open Innovation model, based on the continuous contamination of ideas, knowledge and skills. We maximize the total life cycle value of our products minimizing the cost of ownership for our customers.

Solid governance is the foundation basis of the culture of  innovation, commitment and listening that has led our company to create value in a variety of geographical markets and industrial sectors.
We strive to maintain high standards of Corporate Governance and Risk Management and to communicate our procedures in a transparent way, so as to support our Stakeholders in assessing our company on the management and effectiveness of the system of internal controls.

Stakeholders and material themes

Smart space generates shared value

In order to address current challenges and promote sustainable development, it is essential for us to establish and maintain a solid and long-lasting relationship with all our Stakeholders, based on active involvement and constant dialogue. We believe that values that emerge and assert themselves from dialogue can strengthen the reputation and the ethics of our way of doing business. Materiality analysis enables us to outline the ESG themes that are a priority for our company and our Stakeholders, both internal and external. This in turn can influence our business results and create added long-term value.

Sustainability goals

Our contribution to the United Nations 2030 Agenda

Our growth strategy is fully in line with the UN’s 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals designed to build an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future for people, goods and the planet.

We have identified 13 priority goals which are relevant to our business and consistent with our Strategic Plan.
