It is with great enthusiasm that we are delighted to present ICAM’s first Sustainability Report, the document that details our commitment to creating a sustainable space for goods, people, and the planet.

Bringing materials and goods closer to people in a sustainable way is the vision that guides our daily commitment. Therefore, we are really proud to present you with our first Sustainability Report.

A tool for transparency and communication that tells you about our commitment to creating a sustainable space for goods, people, and the planet.

This is a precise and detailed report that, starting from the specificities of our core business and the competitive market environment we operate in every day, highlights ICAM’s dedication to reducing its environmental footprint, enhancing value for stakeholders, and generating positive impacts for the entire community.

Drafted in accordance with the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) guidelines, the document associates the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) set forth by the United Nations for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with each of the examined activities.

People, Planet, Smart Technologies, Governance: these are four strategic areas on which we will focus our sustainability commitments and objectives in the coming years.

People: today ICAM can boast a 99% rate of permanent contracts among its employees. These employees have access to a package of benefits and incentives tied to performance and designed to offer better working conditions than the industry standard.

Planet: Approximately 4 million Euros have been invested in innovative 4.0 processes and technologies, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced energy consumption. In fact, in 2022, there was a decrease in the consumption of electricity (-15.6%) and methane (-23.1%) compared to the previous year. Furthermore, since 2016, ICAM has been self-producing 55% Green Energy through a photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 570 KW.

Smart Technologies: The ongoing search for sustainable development solutions led to the adoption of a new business model. The Servitization project was born with the aim of increasing the performance of the solutions offered while simultaneously reducing environmental impact and improving the customer experience. To this end, investments have been made in digitization, automation and integration of various business processes.

Governance: ICAM has updated the 231/01 model (Code of Ethics) and strengthened the system of rules, models, and control mechanisms, drawing inspiration from the highest standards of sustainability, transparency and fairness in business management. This model has instilled trust in stakeholders: EBITDA in 2022 amounted to 6 million Euros, a +106% increase compared to the previous year.

“Working on our first Sustainability Report has been a fundamental moment of reflection on our identity, on the values that guide our daily commitment, and on the future prospects of for business development,” says Roberto Bianco, CEO of ICAM. “For us, this document is not a point of arrival, but rather a new tool through which to interpret social, economic, and environmental changes and to achieve increasingly ambitious goals in line with the principles of sustainable development and value generation from a multistakeholder perspective. The challenges that the future holds for us are ambitious, and it is now clear that innovation and sustainability are the winning levers for embarking on a significant growth path from every perspective: social, economic, and environmental.”
