THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGES

The automation of intralogistics processes plays a fundamental role in the digital and omnichannel transformation of retail: ensuring the right item, in the right quantities, conditions and at the right time for the right customer is fundamental whether the orders refer to web purchases, or to traditional stores supplies.

With this in mind, rino petino decides to reorganize the internal logistics of its distribution center in Monopoli to support the omnichannel evolution of the shopping experience.

THE SOLUTION

There are four SILO² Vertical Lift Modules, each 7 meters high, configured in 3 storage side-by-side access openings at the heart of the project.

The strategic installation of four SILO² VLMs in groups of two, facing each other, allows to reduce walking time waste for operators, making the order consolidation activities more efficient, whether they come from the eCommerce channel or from the various stores located throughout the territory.
