ICAM SpA is proud to announce the publication of its second Sustainability Report, a paper that attests to and strengthens its ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices.
The report has been prepared following GRI guidelines (referencing SASB standards – “Industrial Machinery and Goods” sector) and aligns with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the ONU 2023 Agenda.
This milestone represents a significant chapter in ICAM’s long history, built on the principles that guided the founder, Cav. Pietro Paolo Bianco. His love for nature and respect for people are values that continue to inspire every business action and decision. An early ESG sensitivity that has grown into a strategic cornerstone for the company today.
The 2023 Report provides a detailed overview of initiatives undertaken and progress made in three strategic areas: Environment, Social and Governance.
Some of the main achievements:
- Renewable Energy and Resources: over 70% of ICAM’s energy consumption is now covered by renewable sources; 100% of rainwater is recovered and reused; CO2 emissions have been reduced by 30% through sustainable investments
- Technological Innovation: innovative solutions have been implemented to optimize internal production processes and products have been developed to lower the environmental footprint for customers
- People’s Well-being: welfare policies and training programs are focused on the well-being of our employees and the local community.
2023 also marked a strategic shift in Governance with the entry of Aksìa Fund into the company’s capital. This move not only strengthens ICAM’s market position but also reaffirms its commitment to supporting the community and promoting sustainable growth both environmentally and socially.
