SafeBox manages the automated dispensing of PPE, tools and fast-moving spare parts in industrial and manufacturing environments. Every withdrawal is authorized and fully tracked; PPE compliance records meet applicable occupational health and safety regulations. Replenishment is fully automated. SafeBox supports Consignment Stock and Vendor Managed Inventory procurement models
Healthcare
SafeBox manages the automated dispensing of medications, medical devices, healthcare PPE and consumables in hospital and pharmaceutical environments. Access is individually profiled for each operator or patient; expiry dates are continuously monitored, and the system supports multi-department and multi-site configurations.
Retail & City Logistics
SafeBox is the 24/7 self-service platform for consumer product sales, click-and-collect and returns in retail and urban environments. It serves as an e-commerce pickup point, automated luggage storage and recycling kit dispensing point, a smart locker built for urban last-mile logistics.

SAFE
Access restricted to authorised users only via RFID badge, OTP or credentials. The SLOT device opens only the authorised compartment: zero picking errors, zero theft. Anti-vandal armoured enclosure resistant to break-in and fire. Integrated CCTV optional.

ERGONOMIC
Goods-to-person. The operator always accesses from a single fixed point: the material reaches the authorized user, not the other way around. No movement to locate the right compartment, no time wasted. The opposite of a traditional locker, where the operator must move to whichever station holds the goods. Intuitive 16″ touchscreen interface, accessible to users with mobility impairments.

ICON logs every operation: who retrieved what, when, and from which department or access point. Contactless withdrawals via unique QR code, tracked like every other operation. PPE compliance certification in line with applicable health and safety regulations. 81/2008. Traceability by patient, operator or end customer. Zero unauthorised withdrawals.

In the outdoor version, SafeBox is installed in standard 20′ or 40′ shipping containers: transportable and reinstallable across different premises, job sites or locations, with no fixed infrastructure required. The same operational unit follows the business wherever it’s needed.

SafeBox runs on ICON Pro: user management, material master data, real-time reporting and inventory, with native API integration with WMS, ERP and carrier platforms. The ICON Care&Tools module extends capabilities to compliance-certified PPE and shared tool management, with automatic expiry date control in compliance with applicable occupational health and safety regulations. 81/2008.

How SILO² works
SafeBox operates on the goods-to-person principle: the container with the requested material reaches the user at the In-Out point. The SLOT device ensures selective access to the single authorised compartment. The entire process is governed by ICON in real time.

Step 1: Authentication
Via website, app or on-site. RFID badge, OTP via SMS/email, credentials or unique QR code. Tracked access, profile-based authorisations active from login. -

Step 2: Material search
Display of materials linked to the user profile. Search by item code, pre-loaded list or product catalogue selection (retail version). -

Step 3: Container retrieval
The system retrieves the container from the archive and transfers it to the In-Out point. No manual intervention. Automatic opening of the authorised compartment only. -

Step 4: Pick or return
The user performs the operation in full safety. ICON logs item code, user and timestamp. -

Step 5: Confirmation & traceability
Automatic closure, user log-out, container repositioned. Inventory updated in real time. Automatic alert when minimum stock threshold is reached.

Configuration
Indoor installation
SafeBox can be installed in hospitals, offices, pharmacies and distribution centres. With a height range of 2.2 to 4.5 m and a distributed floor load, it is compatible with the load-bearing structures of indoor environments. From a single centralized point, it manages stationery, shared assets, binders and consumables with selective access by user profile. Storage capacity, intelligence and security no locker or vending machine can match.
Multiple opposite In-Out points
Multiple In-Out points on opposite sides give different departments, operators or users independent, simultaneous access to the same unit. Couriers and suppliers handle deliveries and replenishment from the outside 24/7, without disrupting internal operations.
Relocatable outdoor version
Installed in standard 20′ or 40′ shipping containers, SafeBox outdoor is fully transportable and reinstallable, no permanent infrastructure required. For a job site: operational from day one, relocated when the project is complete. For a retailer: a new territory or seasonal location, tested without capital commitment.
