Job Description
This position will play a key role in the development of our products: automated machines with multiple axes of motion, where the proper definition of kinematics, the sizing of drives, and mechatronic integration are central elements of the design.
The candidate will work closely with the Electrical and Automation departments and will actively contribute to the design of integrated mechatronic systems, in which mechanics, sensors, wiring, and actuators are conceived as a single coherent system.
Main Responsibilities
- Define and design kinematic systems and motion control systems (linear, rotary, and combined) for multi-axis automated machines
- Perform sizing of motors, gearboxes, and transmissions, in collaboration with the electrical department
- Contribute to feasibility studies and architectural decisions for machines to be built
- Develop mechanical solutions with strong mechatronic integration (therefore also focusing on actuators, sensors, and wiring) and geared toward industrialization (manufacturability, assembly, and maintainability)
- Collaborate on the standardization of ICAM products and the creation of product configurators
- Collaborate on the prototyping, testing, and validation of developed solutions
- Support the definition of design guidelines and contribute to the standardization of subsystems
- Liaise with suppliers and technical partners regarding components and specialized solutions
Profile
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Mechatronics
- At least 7 years of experience in the design of automated machines and mechatronic systems
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines (mechanical–electrical–automation) and work effectively in a team
- Knowledge of project management is a plus
- Organizational and problem-solving skills

- Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD (Solid Edge) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD)
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Willingness to travel
